The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro ISO “VX1000” is a creative look for the skate shoe that calls to mind a piece of equipment instrumental to the rise of skate videos in the ‘90s: the Sony DCR VX1000 camcorder. A February 2021 release by Nike SB, the “VX1000” features quirky nods to graphics found on Sony’s pioneering recording device. Grey suede forms the base of the shoe and appears on the perforated toe, mid-panel, collar, and heel. Pure Platinum overlays can be found on the toe cap, forefoot, eyelets, and Swoosh branding. The collar and heel display black synthetic overlays. Graphics found on the design, such as “Player,” “Shutter Speed,” and “Rec,” are a reference to the functions of the DCR VX1000. The red and yellow eyelet holes are also inspired by buttons on the camcorder.
